This could be the same person as 69892 who had a son named James born about the right time to fit with his other children.He inherited negros from his father.

I've been wondering how long it would take before someone asked me about
that.

For years and years I had it the same way a lot of people do ... that Susannah Addison's husband was the son of Ambrose Cobb and Frances Elizabeth Pinkett. Then last year a gal down in Austin took it all in dispute, and set out to prove it wrong. She did. I had to open a separate file in my PC just to handle all the email that passed between us. I took her to task at every opportunity, and she never failed to produce chapter and verse documentation to back up what she said.

The story is long and complicated, so let's just say that she sent me copies of legal records, newspaper clippings, personal diaries, etc, that span a period of time of more than a hundred years. It was like a 5000 piece puzzle that had to be fit together. She obtained microfilms of original records from Salt Lake and examined them personally. She completely went
through all the still extant records for York, Chesterfield, Henrico, and Amelia counties Virginia, as well as several counties in North Carolina. If our American Intelligence Network was half as good as she is, the World Trade Center would still be standing. Her analytical skill is amazing. The gal is probably just about the best I've ever encountered.

In the end, she proved beyond a doubt that Addison's husband was NOT the son of Ambrose and Pinkett. Thus by process of elimination he had to be the son of Robert Cobbs and Rebecca Vinckler. Incidentally, she has also proven that Frances Elizabeth Pinkett was not a Pinkett by birth, but actually a Pinkett widow that married John Cobbs. That's a whole other story.

So now I guess I'm the only person on the planet that has it the way you see it now.
