Pickens Co, SC Probate Index A-M surnames (1828-1956). I'm not going to order
the N-Z Index to look for the Nowlins, since that's not my area of concern.
I'll let you have that one. I'll concentrate on the COBBs.

I need to finish reviewing 1842-1861. Apparently, there were no Nowlins in
Anderson Co, SC after 1834. That's all now. What's the news on your front.

Anderson Co, SC Will Book A (1800-1834) Remember it was Pendleton District
until 1826 and included Pickens Co and Anderson Co, SC area:
pages 098-99: 10/1/1808-Will of John Humphres, of Pendleton District, SC
wife-Catherine-gets everything
sons: William, Isaac, John and Jacob Humphres
daughters: Betsy Jones, Rebecca Thomas, Catherine
Executors: wife Catherine Humphres and John Humphres
Witnesses: David Glenn, Thomas Grogin
Proved on 10/25/1808 in Pendleton District, SC.
I still need to look at Anderson Co, SC Will Book (1835-1857) portion of the
microfilm.
I ordered the Anderson Co, SC Deed Index on 5/9/1999 and so that should come
in soon. That index will cover the time of the Pendleton District (1785-1826)
and Anderson Co, SC through 1870.
